My first sour beer! Monk’s cafe on draft at the Porter, Little 5 Points, Atlanta.  The menu description: sour cherries, sour grape peel, more vinegar, begins sweet and ends lactic. 5.5% ABV. I’ve always had a taste for sour things. I can’t wait to try some more of these!

The Machu Peachu is the Wrecking Bar Brewpubs Southern take on a Peruvian Pisco Sour. With the addition of peach and apricot nectars and apricot brandy to the classic ingredients, this drink is perfect for us classy folks down South. Impress your friends by making it at your next party/hoe down/shindig: 
Machu Peachu+ 1 1/2 oz Porton Pisco+ 1/2 oz Peach nectar+ 1/2 oz Apricot nectar+ 1/2 oz Apricot brandy+ 3/4 oz Lemon juice+ 1 spoon bar sugar+ 1 egg white
Dry shake all ingredients to start the meringue. Fill shaker with ice and shake well, strain into a champagne glass. Top with 2 dashes Angostura and 2 dashes peach bitters. Use stir stick to swirl in bitters for effect.

The Hummingbird cocktail is based on a classic polish drink the Tatanka, the Native American word for Buffalo. Want to make it yourself? The Wrecking Bar Brewpub has been kind enough to share their recipe with us!
Hummingbird+ 1 1/2 oz Bison Grass vodka+ 1 1/2 oz fresh pressed apple juice+ 3/4 oz lemon juice+ 2 spoons Runny HoneyShake all ingredients in a Boston shaker and serve straight up in a chilled martini glass. Finish with 2 dashes Fees Rhubarb Bitters and an edible flower for garnish.

This is no ordinary Manhattan. This is an amazing Manhattan at Wrecking Bar Brewpub in Atlanta. Four Roses Bourbon, Carpano Antica Formula, orange bitters, topped with a real maraschino cherry (not the hot pink kind!). Smooth but strong, as it should be.
