Label Love!  One look at these ladies and I knew they were coming home with me. This “joven” Spanish wine is definitely my new favorite affordable red. Pick one up in place of the budget friendly Cupcake. (Info on tasting notes here).

I had driven by this wine shop a dozen times, always noticing it’s adorable facade. But yesterday I felt I had earned myself a treat, and pulled over. Now I have a new favorite place in the universe. Perrine’s Wine Shop in Atlanta has a perfectly organized selection of wines from around the globe. The staff were friendly, knowledgable and so helpful. After explaining my tastes, I was led to a bottle of South African Cabernet Sauvignon that turned out to be just what I was looking for. I encourage you to check out this jewel on Howell Mill Road!

Abita Vanilla Doubledog. I wanted to love this, because I am a fan of Abita and most things New Orleans, but it didn’t exactly live up to the “vanilla” in it’s name. It was good, but nothing to write home about. I’m just a sucker for good label design.

Leone’s candy originals originated in Italy in 1857. This Absinthe candy is “from the original recipe of the distillers of Val de Travers, the symbolic liqueur of the Belle Époque is used to create an original product line that explores all the nuances of the Green Fairy’s “potion”.” Read more about this candy and many others at their website.

I am becoming a huge fan of milk stouts, and this one further convinced me of their deliciousness. By Left Hand Brewing Co. (omg their website is amazing), it was “udderly delightful”. Thank you, Deckard’s, for carrying this seriously tasty brew.
