Happy Halloween! The kids can have their candy, but I’m having Pumpkin-tinis.
Pumpkin-tini (recipe here)
+ 1.5 oz Pumpkin Spice Liqueur
+ 1.5 oz Vanilla Vodka
+ splash of simple syrup
+ splash of soy milk/half and half
Shake and strain to a martini glass. Garnish with cinnamon stick.

+ 1 2/4 oz lime juice (Rose’s if possible)
Shake, strain, serve.

Starting the weekend off with a Negroni which is equal parts Campari, Gin, and Sweet Vermouth… and as strong as a martini. (The Patron is pictured because it came with the haul). A negroni is an “apertif” cocktail which is intended to stimulate the appetite. The word comes from the Latin aperire, “to open”. Now I have to go find food strong enough to follow this up….

Dirty Ketel One Martini at Dillingers in Queens. Not the best of anything. I asked the bartender if he had a favorite mixed drink and he was uninspired/uninspiring. Also the burger was just so so. A big “eh” all around.
